The ILMEC Company was
established in May 2002 by the Cardinali brothers, Paolo and Francesco.
The initial activities were focused on machining on commission,
precision turning and assembly of small mechanical components. This
period of breaking-in enabled us to know, and get known by, numerous
firms in the car industry. It also allowed us to understand the needs
and potentials of the precision turnings and mechanical small part
sector.
After this initial period the company began to buy sliding headstock CNC
(numerically controlled) lathes for the production of small metallic
components such as: shafts for electric motors, and Precision small
metallic parts with size ranging from 3 to 32mm.
Over the years the scope and production capacity of the company
broadened. Nowadays ILMEC produces about 500.000 shafts per month (lathed,
tempered and grinded) mainly used for small and micro electric motors
installed on a broad variety of household appliances and mechanical
utilities.
